TERMS & CONDITIONS
Group class – payment, term dates, attendance

Classes are run termly and payments must be paid prior to the first lesson of the term.

Spaces can only be guaranteed in receipt of payment which must be received prior to the start of your next course.

It is possible to attend as a ‘drop in’ client and pay by session by prior agreement. If planning to attend as a ‘drop in’, it is advisable to notify Rebecca Morris the dates you will be attending to ensure that there is space and that the class is running..

Drop in classes must be paid for in advance or by cash at the start of the session.

Class fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another course without prior agreement.

Missed classes can be made up by attending another class if available (i.e. a ‘make up’ class). ‘Make up’ classes must be taken in the same term as the missed class and cannot be carried over to the next term. Spaces in classes for ‘Make up’ clients cannot be guaranteed.

Missed classes cannot be used as credit towards your next course or any future classes.

Term dates will be sent out via email a couple of weeks prior to the previous term. Recipients will be notified of any weeks the class will not be running.
1-2-1 tuition – payment and attendance

1-2-1 sessions must be paid for by BACS prior to the session or on the day.

1-2-1 sessions will run at the agreed time. Every effort will be made to accommodate late arrivals, however, this may not always be possible due to other bookings at the venue. Any time missed due to a late arrival may be forfeited and cannot be added to a later session.
Cancellation Policy

24 hours cancellation notice for all drop-in sessions and private tuition appointments is required to entitle you to a full refund, otherwise a £25 cancellation fee will be charged and deducted from your refund or added to your next booking.
Enrolment and health information

All clients will need to complete an Enrolment Form giving contact details and health information prior to attending a class or 1-2-1 session. Please advise Rebecca Morris before commencing any session if, for any reason, your health or your ability to exercise changes including pregnancy, any recent injury, back problem, new condition or any movements that cause you pain so that the appropriate modifications can be put in place.

Pilates is a gentle form of exercise but, as with all forms of physical exercise, it is prudent to consult your doctor before starting classes. The classes are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. If you have any doubts about the suitability of the exercises, you should refer back to your GP. You may be asked to attend a private assessment prior to the start of your course, depending on your personal circumstances.

Rebecca Morris, cannot accept liability for personal injury related to participation in a class if: your doctor has, on health grounds, advised you against such exercise; you fail to observe instructions on safety or technique; such injury is caused by the negligence of another participant in the class.
Pre and Post-natal clients

Please let Rebecca Morris know if you know or suspect you may be pregnancy

Pre-natal clients over 12 weeks gestation and Post-natal clients should attend specialised Pre and Post-natal Pilates rather than general classes.

Pre and post-natal clients need to fill in additional health forms before commencing classes.

Clients attending Post-natal classes should wait until six weeks after the birth before resuming exercise and should have undergone their six-week check with a midwife or doctor.
Class cancellations

Any class cancellations or teacher substitutes will be notified by email. Every effort will be made to give as much notice as possible, however, there may be times when the decision to cancel a class is unavoidably made at the last minute and it may not be possible to inform everyone.

Cancelled classes will either be credited to the following course, or a full refund will be made. Classes where cover is organised cannot be refunded.
Covid and lockdowns

Face to face classes will be conducted in line with governing body recommendations for Covid-safe group classes.

In the event of a lockdown where face to face classes are not allowed, all classes will be conducted online and run live via Zoom. If this happens part-way through a term, refunds will not be given for those who choose not to complete the term online.
Classes at Studio One

Vehicles and contents are parked entirely at owner’s risk. Please ensure you have parked between the plant pots and have only taken up one car parking space. Please observe the ‘no parking’ signs and do not park beyond the cattle grid.

Please do not arrive earlier than 5 mins prior to your session to allow previous classes to leave and to keep congestion to a minimum both in the Studio and on Hayden Lane.

On leaving the Studio, please give way to traffic coming up to the Studio via Hayden Lane. This is to ease congestion by the cottages and leave clear access from the main road.

Sarah Palmer, acting as The Responsible Person with regard to Fire Regulations – The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FS0) has carried out a risk assessment and issued a guide with instructions as to what to do in the event of fire. Smoke alarms are fitted throughout the building together with fire extinguishers and fire blankets. In the event of an alarm or shouted warning, please follow the ‘Fire Exit’ signs. Do not stop to pick up your belongings, all instructors and therapists are aware of the fire drill procedure.
